It was an honor to build this outdoor classroom as a memorial for a beloved teacher at Haldane, Lori Isler. Her sister organized the whole project, which was designed by the talented John Lee of Bevel-Up Woodworks. Dain’s Lumber donated the spectacular red balau mahogany John and I used to fabricate the circular seating and desk area. It seats up to 24 students and takes full advantage of the magnificent views of the Hudson Highlands found on the school grounds.
